Arbor Mundi was established as a social enterprise, primarily to support the people and forest in the Amazon through revenue transfers to our non-profit NGO, Bosqueros Peru. We do innovative, no-overhead reforestation and capacity building projects in the Amazon. No bureaucracy, intermediaries, big salaries, consultants and fund-raising expenses like the big organizations. For every $5 US (C$6.60) donated we plant a tree on deforested land in the Amazon. We work with local farmers and other landowners in the San Martin region of Peru at the edge of the Amazon to help them reforest their land. We will send you a photo of your freshly planted trees.  
 
100% of donations are sent to our non-profit association, Bosqueros Peru in the Amazon. We are demonstrating small scale project capabilities in order to obtain institutional grant funding for bigger projects, so small donations go a long way in setting us up for big scale projects in the future. 
 
There are no taxes on donations so don't be afraid to add as many to your cart as you would like : ). Because our non-profit association is only registered in Peru, we apologize that we cannot provide tax receipts outside of Peru until we partner with a North American foundation.
